GhostLock Alarm Not Working? 7 Fixes That Help
Alarm not sounding? Work through these seven fixes in order: battery optimization, permissions, sensors, and settings.

Start here: the 2-minute check
An alarm that never sounds is almost never broken; it is almost always blocked. Work through these in order on your GhostLock App install from the download page, testing the alarm after each step.
GhostLock needs three things to fire: permission to run, sensors to watch, and the system not killing it. The fixes below cover all three.
The seven fixes
1. Disable battery optimization. Settings, Apps, GhostLock, Battery, Unrestricted. This single fix resolves most silent alarms: Android's saver kills the guard in the background.
2. Re-check the guard permissions. Accessibility service and device administrator must both still be active. System updates sometimes silently revoke them.
3. Confirm the alarm is armed. It sounds obvious, but the guard disarms after a reboot on some phones. Open the app and verify Activate Protection is on.
4. Test the sensors. If motion never triggers, another app may be holding the sensor, or the sensitivity is set too low. Raise it one notch and re-test with a real lift.
5. Check Do Not Disturb. DND should not silence the alarm by design, but aggressive DND profiles on some skins do. Test with DND off once.
6. Re-grant camera permission. If the siren works but intruder selfies are blank, the camera permission was denied or revoked.
7. Reinstall clean. Uninstall (deactivate device-admin first), reboot, and install the latest build fresh. Corrupt installs from interrupted downloads cause the strangest symptoms.
Still silent?
Tell us your phone model and Android version via the motion alarm setup comments path on our contact page, and check the battery guide if the app seems to restart itself constantly.
Quick answers
Why did my alarm work yesterday but not today?
Usually a system update revoked a permission or re-enabled battery optimization. Re-check fix 1 and fix 2 first.
The alarm sounds but very quietly. Why?
Check the in-app alarm volume, which is separate from media volume, and make sure no DND profile is capping it.
Do I need to re-arm after every reboot?
On most phones the guard restarts itself. On aggressive skins, open the app once after reboot to confirm.
