How to Install GhostLock APK on Android: Step by Step Guide
Install the app on any Android phone in minutes. This guide covers the download, the two guard permissions, and switching on your first alarm.

Before you start
GhostLock APK is an anti-theft guard for Android, not a Play Store app, so you install it from the APK file on the download page. The file is only 2.4 MB, so keep about 50 MB free for the install and its data. You will need Android 12 or newer.
The setup asks for two special permissions during install: accessibility access and device-administrator rights. These are the tools the alarms use to detect tampering and block shutdowns, so plan to approve both.
Install the app in five steps
1. Download the APK. Grab the file from the download page and wait for it to finish. On most connections this takes seconds.
2. Open the file. Tap it in your notification shade or Downloads folder. Android will ask permission to install apps from your browser; allow it once.
3. Tap Install. The install finishes in a few seconds. Open the app when Android offers the button.
4. Grant the guard permissions. Follow the setup wizard: enable the accessibility service for the app, then activate it as a device administrator. Without these, motion and shutdown protection cannot work.
5. Arm your first alarm. Start with the motion alarm, tap Activate Protection, set your disarm code, and test it by lifting the phone. If the siren sounds, you are guarded.
What to do right after install
Test each alarm you plan to use. Trigger the motion alarm, unplug the charger to check the removal alert, and fail your unlock code three times to confirm the intruder selfie fires. Five minutes of testing now saves a nasty surprise later. If anything misbehaves, the update guide covers keeping the build current without losing your settings.
Quick answers
How long does the installation take?
About two minutes total: seconds for the 2.4 MB download, a few seconds to install, and a minute for the permission wizard.
Do I need to uninstall anything first?
Only an older GhostLock copy, if you have one. A conflicting signature will block the install with an 'App not installed' error.
Is it safe to allow installs from my browser?
Yes for this one install. Android asks per-source; you can revoke the permission afterward in Settings.
