Testing the GhostLock Siren: How Loud Is Loud, Really
We triggered the siren in five real environments to find out whether it actually deters. The results surprised us.

Why we tested the siren itself
An anti-theft siren is only as good as its volume in the real world. Specs do not tell you whether it cuts through a food court, so we set up GhostLock APK from this site and triggered it in five places: a quiet office, a cafe, a busy street, a shopping mall, and a parked car with windows up.
What we found
Quiet office: overwhelming. Heads turned instantly; the thief scenario ends here.
Cafe: clearly audible over music and chatter within about ten meters. Conversation stops.
Busy street: audible and attention-grabbing within a few meters, though traffic at full roar competes. The suddenness does half the work.
Shopping mall: carries surprisingly well down a corridor; hard surfaces help.
Parked car, windows up: muffled but still clearly audible outside the car. A thief working inside a car will hear it fine.
The silent-mode question
Yes, it fires at full volume with the phone on silent or vibrate; we verified this on all five test phones. That is the feature that makes the whole app work, and it is why the motion alarm is worth tuning properly. See the app overview for every trigger, and the troubleshooting guide if yours ever sounds weak.
Quick answers
How loud is the GhostLock siren?
Loud enough to stop conversation in a cafe and turn heads in an office. We did not measure decibels, but deterrence-wise it does the job.
Can I choose a different siren sound?
Yes. The app includes multiple alarm tones; pick the one that cuts through your typical environment.
Will it damage hearing at close range?
It is a phone speaker, not a stadium horn. Uncomfortable up close, which is the point, but not dangerous.
